The Kazakh Revolution

November 3, 2017

A year has passed since the height of THE KAZAKH INSURGENCY and the bombing of the Kazakh presidential election election and subsequent power struggle involving the disparate factions. Outside of Kazakhstan, the NATO-Russo war has raged on, both sides seeing victory and failure. But within Kazakhstan a tense cease-fire has been agreed upon, with Russian and NATO soldiers co-mingling, to prevent further destruction of a third party nation.

Civil functions have been maintained by local leaders over the last year, but Kazakhstan needs a leader and an election has been called with both sides, NATO and Russia, agreeing to support the election and honor the outcome.
However, bitter resentment is growing in Astana over what many see as the heavy handed suppression of grass-roots leaders and disastrous foreign intervention. On the eve of the election this resentment threatens to boil over at THE KAZAKH REVOLUTION.

The Caspian Breakout

October 20, 2017

After NATO’s failed attempt to destroy the Caspian Gap a year ago, they laid siege to the city in the hopes of starving the defenders out. A year later, and against all odds, the Russian defenders are still entrenched in the city of Astrakhan desperately holding out.

Recent victories on the Steppes and in Rostov have re-invigorated the beleaguered Russian military and they have begun planning a daring offensive to penetrate deep into enemy territory to save the Heroes of Astrakhan, and secure the Caspian region. As Russian forces prepare for The Caspian Breakout, NATO forces stand ready prepared for the second Battle of Astrakhan.

Balkar Ridge

May 12, 2017

The Kabardino-Balkarian Republic is a small province in Russia's northern Caucasus region. Since NATO seized Grozny in the Winter of 2017, they have been using the Caucasian highways to run logistics to deployed units throughout the conflict.

As NATO continues to secure the small pockets of resistance in the Caucasus, Russian Forces seek to continue disrupting NATO logistics by engaging supply movements along the mountainous region with guerrilla tactics in order to halt continued NATO advances.

NATO intelligence has located the source of many of these attacks – a ridgeline that locals refer to as BALKAR RIDGE. As NATO forces move into the area, Russian forces dig in and prepare to defend BALKAR RIDGE.

Objective Stavropol

May 28, 2017

After the success on the Steppes last year NATO forces have pushed ever closer to Stavropol. Their offensive has since slowed down to a crawl and seeking to break through NATO High Command has ordered a daring airborne offensive with the objective to seize the area surrounding Stavropol and eliminate the Russian resistance in the area.

Rostov Rising

March 10, 2017

A year after the freak rain storm that resulted in a NATO victory in the Rostov region, NATO forces have seized the rural farmlands surrounding Rostov-on-Don. This has dealt a serious blow to the Russian war effort - the fertile Rostov countryside is the bread basket of Russia and who ever controls the area will be able to keep their armies fed through the harsh Russian winter.

Despite their conventional loss, Russian forces are still operating throughout the region. The conventional ground war in Rostov has now given way to a campaign of unconventional warfare with Russian forces waging a war of insurgency against NATO forces in the region and transitional government. Many of the local Russian farmers, tired of the war and seeking to get rich by supplying NATO with food have backed the transitional government while many of the Cossack's have remained loyal to the Russians. With an election on the horizon the bipartisan OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe) have recently released a report warning that Rostov is quickly plunging into a civil war that neither NATO or Russia will be able to control.

Seize Grozny

January 27, 2016

Almost a year has passed since the Battle for Grozny where the victorious Russian forces drew the NATO task force in and then enveloped them forcing the survivors to flee.

Grozny remains firmly in Russian control, however Grozny must be seized if NATO forces wish to continue their advance north through the Caucuses. With the stakes higher than ever they have spent the last year training and assembling a new task force with one goal - SEIZE GROZNY!

The Kazakh Insurgency

November 4, 2016

Conflict and insurgency continues to brew in a de-stablized Kazakhstan. After the "The Kazakh Offensive" last year NATO forces set up a transitional government, the NATO Provisional Transitional Authority, to manage the area. One year later, and against the backdrop of local elections, the conflict has evolved into a low intensity conflict with Russia and NATO forces attempting to influence the local population . Caught in the middle of all of this are the Kazakh civilians, who for the first time ever will be a playable faction at MilSim West.

The Caspian Gap

October 21, 2016

For the past two years as the NATO-Russo war has raged on, the Russian Forces have beaten back several vicious NATO attempts to unseat them from the Russian Southern Federal States. Last year NATOs campaign to seize the Caspian seaboard failed as their forces suffered massive attrition and were eventually overrun in the massive battle surrounding Grozny, Chechnya.

But earlier this year, NATO forces had a string of successes in the Steppes and in the rural areas surrounding the city of Volgograd; a key piece of morale for the desperate Russian Forces. NATO is now poised again to seize another key city on the Caspian coastline.

Clash on the Steppes

May 27, 2016

After a harsh winter on the Russian steppes both sides entered into a cease fire agreement hoping to end the war. The cease fire is set to expire on May 22nd with both side poised to launch their spring offensives hoping to bring the war to a decisive end. Fighting out of prepared and defensible combat outposts with military vehicle and mortar support you can join the American-backed NATO forces or fight for Russia as Cossack militiamen or Russian soldiers. Be prepared to Clash on the Steppes on May 22-24 in Centerville, Washington.

Assault on Volgograd

May 20, 2016

NATO's latest offensive into Southern Russian has been a success; they have seized major ground in the south and have seized most of the Southern District putting them at the doorstep of Volgograd. One of the twelve "Hero Cities" from WWII, Volgograd is more commonly known by it's former name of Stalingrad, the site of one of the deadliest battles during the Second World War and the battle that halted Nazi Germanies advance into Russia.

Like in WWII, the Russian Federation has decided to make a stand at Volgograd with Russian President Vladimir Putin declaring they would fight at all costs and take no steps back. With both sides moving massive amounts of men and material into the area, the Assault on Volgograd will soon begin.

Jump to Rostov

May 4, 2016

With the failure of their ground-based campaign to seize the Rostov area in February of last year, NATO High Command has come up with a daring plan to seize the area and strip the Russians of their access to the Black Sea - they are going to engage in a massive airborne operation to seize key pieces of terrain and infrastructure surrounding Rostov-on-Don and prepare for the eventual storming of the city.

Opposing them are elite Russian FSB and VDV units, already combat veterans of the first Rostov campaign. They know the stakes - Rostov is a major transportation hub for Russia, and is their last Black Sea port available to them. They must hold Rostov-on-Don and it's surroundings at all costs.

Defense of Grozny

February 5, 2016

After their pyrrhic victory in Dagestan at Derbent NATO forces are moving west out of Dagestan attempting to reunite with their forces moving north out of the Darial Gorge so that they can take full advantage of their numbers and push north into greater Russia. There is just one thing in their way - Grozny, the capitol of the Russian state of Chechnya lies directly in the middle effectively cutting both armies in half. To unite their armies, NATO must take Grozny.

Chechnya is no stranger to conflict, it was the site of two major conflicts during the 90s and 2000s and sporadic ones between and after. And conflict looms once again, as NATO forces move to take the city Russian forces have poured into the capitol city, fortifying it and strengthening it against the impending attack.

Assault on Derbent

October 16, 2015

Dagestan has erupted into war. After years of Anti-Insurgency operations conducted by Russia against local Islamic extremists, the small republic has now become embroiled in the NATO / Russo ground conflict. NATO forces, eager to collapse the pocket of Russian resistance massed near the historic fortress city of Derbent, have begun mobilizing mechanized infantry out of the Darial Gorge in Georgia eastward towards the Caspian coastline.

The Kazakh Offensive

October 9, 2015

Tensions are high as NATO continues to mobilize mechanized infantry from within Kazakhstan into the Steppes of Russia, to the loud protests of divided Kazakh politicians and citizens both.

In the wake of significant protests regarding the use of sovereign Kazakh territory to wage war on a trusting neighbor, armed pro-Russian Kazakh have promised retaliation if the NATO occupation is not ended immediately.

Seeking to capitalize on the willingness of the Kazakh Peoples Resistance to disrupt NATO activities within the region and sever the logistical lifeline to the foothold in the Steppes, Russian elements prepare to counterattack over the border and onto Kazakhstani soil.

Battle for the Caucasus

August 30, 2015

While the ground war in Southern Russia has progressed north it has largely bypassed Dagestan, a rural mountainous republic within Russia. Dagestan has long been a source of conflict for Russia and has recently been the center of a low-level Islamic insurgency. It has, however, remained unclear which side the fiercely independent and largely tribal inhabitants will take.

Both sides, in the hopes of minimizing civilian casualties and garnering influence with the local tribes, have not engaged in major set piece battles but instead have conducted small scale company or less engagements. However, time has run out for Dagestan - both sides are desperate for the oil reserves that Dagestan has and securing them has become a priority for the war effort.

With both sides ramping up their involvement in Dagestan, securing the goodwill and cooperation of the local populace has become an important goal for the campaign as neither group wants to become, once again, entrenched in a long and costly anti-insurgency campaign.

Raid on Rostov

June 28, 2015

After the NATO offensive and siege of Rostov-on-Don was broken NATO ground forces have been pushed back into the border regions. Despite the lengthy and costly siege of Rostov many pieces of critical Russian defense infrastructure remains in place including the Balakin Munitions Factory.

Producing close to 70% of the arms and ammunition used by Rusian Southern Military Command, headquartered in Rostov-on-Don, the Balakin Munitions Factory is a critical piece in the Russian militaries defense plan for Southern Russia and any production delays would be incredibly costly to its defense plan.

NATO Special Forces, operating under TF Archangel, plan to execute a battalion sized raid on Balakin Munitions Factory in order to starve Russian Southern Command of it's needed munitions and to hopefully bring the ground war in Southern Russia to a close.

Strike on the Steppes

May 22, 2015

After a harsh winter on the Russian steppes both sides entered into a cease fire agreement hoping to end the war. The cease fire is set to expire on May 22nd with both side poised to launch their spring offensives hoping to bring the war to a decisive end. Fighting out of prepared and defensible combat outposts with military vehicle and mortar support you can join the American-backed NATO forces or fight for Russia as Cossack militiamen or Russian soldiers. Be prepared to Strike on the Steppes on May 22-24 in Centerville, Washington.

The Road to Rostov

February 20, 2015

After the NATO offensive and siege of Rostov-on-Don was broken NATO ground forces have been pushed back into the border regions. Despite the lengthy and costly siege of Rostov many pieces of critical Russian defense infrastructure remains in place including the Balakin Munitions Factory.

Hearing rumors of a proposed NATO raid on an industrial factory, Russian Southern Command has deployed units of elite VDV and FSB to reinforce existing militia units guarding these installations.

Jump to Crimea

October 3, 2014

Following the events of the 2014 Crimean Crisis the world watched as Russian forces annexed Crimea and made it part of the Russian Federation. Now, Russian internal troops, supported by Cossack militiamen, have begun hunting down pro-Ukranian resistance fighters in order to cement their control over the strategic peninsula.

A key figure in the Ukrainian resistance has fled to Kerch, a small town on the Crimean coast, with the Russians and Cossacks in pursuit.

The world has not forgotten about Crimea however; NATO acting in support of Ukraine, has begun an operation to retake Crimea and bring it into it's sphere of influence. In the east, NATO SOF will conduct an airborne operation to establish an airhead and execute a link up with the resistance.

Darial Outpost

May 23, 2014

With the seizure of the Darial Gorge, NATO has secured a path into the Caucus Mountains and into greater Russia allowing them to move troops and material. In response to this, the Russian Federation has sent small teams of elite spetsnaz units into the area in an attempt to disrupt the movement of supplies by conducting ambushes and raids along the supply lines.

To combat these increasingly devastating attacks, Combat Outpost Darial has been set up in the middle of the Darial Gorge with the objective of securing these supply lines. To man this COP, NATO has sent Task Force Archangel, including a Special Forces “A Team”. Their mission is to destroy Russian Special Operations troops in the area and train a local Georgian Militia to take over the security of the COP.

The Crimean Crisis

February 21, 2014

1300km NW of the Darial Gorge is a small fishing village on the Crimean Peninsula. Russian forces are planning to meet with an unknown Crimean Tatar power figure in an effort to heal old wounds and align forces against the US.

US Special Operations assets are deploying to conduct special reconnaissance, civil affairs and direct action missions to disrupt Russian efforts and ensure the Crimean Peninsula remains unsecured.

Breakout Birbaria

December 14, 2012

In July 2012, the Russian Federation, exhausted by negotiations, invaded the Autonomous Republic of Wendyland. In a series of lighting fast attacks, Russian Spetsnaz teams pushed into Wendyland to secure its natural resources; vital to the expansion of the Russian Federation.

However, unknown to the Russian government, a secret force of NATO Advisors and Special Forces has already been dispatched to Wendyland to help defend it. As experts in recruiting, training and leading local forces against occupiers, NATO Special Forces are the tip of the spear for the western democracies in this conflict. Are the people of Wendyland ready to rise up against their Russian occupiers, or will the brutal counterinsurgency tactics of the FSB/MVD crush any local resistance before it starts?
