After last years events Grozny is in a state of détente; NATO occupies the town while plain clothes Russian forces continue to operate in and out of the city. With Grozny being increasingly depopulated and residents moving to surrounding villages in anticipation of increased hostilities, experts predict the cease fire won’t hold much longer, and concerns are mounting that even more conflict will result in the complete collapse of Grozny.
Join MilSim West March 1-3, 2019 for THE CHECHEN COLLAPSE, the second installment of our Grozny Insurgency series at Camp Shelby, MS. MilSim West returns to Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center after two successful force on force events, and an insurgency event (2016-2018) all totaling over 300 participants each. Take part on our epic play area of 50K square acres, 3 MOUT villages, 1 MOUT city and 1 FOB complete with 15KM or improved roads.
Take a role as a NATO or Russian peacekeeper or one of the many options within the Chechen citizenry. Play as a soldier, spy, businessman, political organizer or violent revolutionary. If you want a highly immersive MilSim experience with a dedicated and in depth opfor try the NATO or RUSFOR factions. If you want something more free form and dependent on your wits, creativity and trigger finger try a role you create for yourself as a Chechen citizen.
The insurgency format is back, on the eastern side of the country and better than ever.
Registration opens Monday November 5th 2019
MilSim West Insurgency is a tactical role playing event for trigger fingers and brains. The variety of participant experiences in insurgency is much broader than the standard attack and defend formats of most events. You can choose to participate as a soldier, law enforcement, medical responder, government official, merchant, smuggler, spy, chef, tradesman or any combination of those roles as you navigate the political, social and tactical battle space of MSW Insurgency.
There are three participant factions: NATO (The occupiers), RUSFOR (the insurgent supporters), and CITIZENS. All factions are led by MSW Cadre as normal however the CITIZEN faction relies upon their elected and appointed officials, government agencies and trade to structure their experience during MSW Insurgency. Halfway through MSW Insurgency the CITIZEN faction will conduct an election which will force all within it to join either NATO or RUSFOR.
A series of checks and balances in the rules reward factions and participants for playing in the spirit of the game and punishes them for acting without any real motivation but mischief as is typical of roleplayers at the majority of milsim events where they are present. Killing of civilians by armed factions without cause will only result in that participant joining the opposing faction. Groups of CITIZENS will have to work together to acquire resources for the fight ahead. Those that keep their motives and resources a carefully guarded secret will have a distinct advantage.
MSW Insurgency offers a unique wargaming and roleplaying experience on a national scale run with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality that can be found in all MSW events. MilSim West insurgency is a social and tactical wargame designed to create unique experiences that push the boundaries of what the words “airsoft,” “milsim,” and “gaming” mean.
